For what purposes are we going to process your personal data?

UNIR processes the necessary data provided by filling out the relevant forms contained on the site, from enquiries made or emails received, as well as that data which the UNIR accesses from your browsing to maintain relations with users.

Processing by express consent: provided that you have given your express consent, we will process your data for:

Communicating and processing any suggestion or query, as well as implementing any claim or complaint regarding our Code of Ethics.
Responding to your requests for information as well as providing you with any additional related material that might be of interest with respect to the journal supplied by UNIR or the various companies that work in partnership with Grupo Proeduca or in which it has an interest.
Managing your personal data subject to prior acceptance of this privacy policy in the “Create new account” section for the purpose of offering you the journal services. Users will have access to a private website area with a username and password provided by UNIR, where the person concerned will be authorised to submit a journal contribution (author), follow the submission and review process (author) or to submit a review of a journal contribution (reviewer).
Sending you electronic notifications about your submissions (authors).
Sending you electronic notifications about review assignments (reviewers).
Sending you electronic notifications about changes, updates and other announcements related to the journal.
Sending you electronic notifications, information on services offered by UNIR and Grupo Proeduca partner companies informing you about events being held and keeping you in touch with the university and research community.
Complying with our legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.

What is the legitimate basis for processing your data?

The legal basis is the consent obtained from the person concerned by marking the box located for this purpose on the forms for collecting data, in the privacy policy, or in the user access.

To whom will we pass on your data?

To companies working in partnership with Grupo Proeduca or in which it has a holding.

Will there be any international transferral of data?

UNIR and Grupo Proeduca partner companies or those in which it has an interest do not intend to make any international transferral of data. Should this prove necessary, it will only be given to organisations under the authorisation within the US-EU Privacy Shield agreement (for further information please see: https://www.privacyshield.gov/welcome) or to those which have demonstrated that they comply with the level of protection and guarantees consistent with the parameters and requirements envisaged in prevailing legislation on data protection, such as the European Regulation, or where legal authorisation to perform any international transfer exists.

How long will we store your data for?

We will process your data whenever it is required for the purpose for which these were gathered and for the length of time laid down under a legal obligation.

What security measures will we apply?

UNIR and the companies that partner Grupo Proeduca or in which it has an interest will process your personal data subject to the strictest level of confidentiality and implement those security, technical and organisational measures that are established under applicable legislation.

What rights can you exercise?

To know if we are processing your data or not.
To access your personal data.
To request rectification of any inaccurate data.
To request that your data be deleted if they are no longer needed for the purposes for which they were collected or if you withdraw the consent that you gave.
To request some limitation on the processing of your data in certain circumstances, in which case we will only keep it in accordance with prevailing legislation.
To carry your data, which will be provided for you in a structured, commonly used or mechanically read format. If you prefer, we can send them to any new manager who you designate.
To file a formal complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Authority or a competent supervisory authority if you believe that we have not attended to you properly.
To revoke consent for each specific purpose without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on express consent.

How can you exercise your rights?

We have forms for exercising your rights which you can request from us by email or post. If you prefer, you can use the forms provided by the Spanish Data Protection Agency or a competent authority.

These forms must be electronically signed or be accompanied by a photocopy of your national identity card which remains in effect.

If you are being represented, you must accompany a copy of the current national identity card of your representative together with your request.

Forms can be lodged in person or by sending an email to ppd@unir.net.

Pursuant to article 21 of Law 34/2002 on information society services and e-commerce, if you do not wish to receive any further information on our services, you can de-register by sending an email to pdd@unir.net and indicating in the subject line “Do not send mails”.

What is the established time for providing a solution when exercising rights?

We will inform you about action taken that arises from your request within the space of one month, which can run to two more months where particularly complicated requests are concerned, and we will notify you of any such extension within the first month.

In those cases where we do not address your request, we shall notify you of this and give justification for any such denial within the space of one month from when it was filed.
