Aims & Scope:
This special issue will bring together recent research work, including reviews, on advances and applications in the field of the Internet of Things. The focus of this issue will be on the methodologies, software, algorithms, new technologies and other related tools for working with physical objects or networks of “things” embedded with sensors, actuators and software.
Description:
The Internet of Things (IoT) refers to physical objects that are able to collect and exchange data. Those objects can be controlled remotely using networks infrastructures, integrating computers with the environment. The term covers a range of protocols, domains and applications and is usually associated with exciting topics such as smart objects, smart grid or smart cities. It is a multidisciplinary field with potential applications in consumer, healthcare and industrial context among others.
This special issue aims to bring, for academics as well as industrial practitioners, a set of articles discussing the recent advances and applications in the Internet of Things field. Topics of interest for articles include, but are not limited to:
